The Product Structure - is the most important basic business object in Production module of ProdMaster.  It should be created at preparation stage of production for each final Product and semi-product that should be produced internally using the own manufacturing resources.

The following key parameters should be specified for each new Product Structure: Part Number, Modification (already existing one for this Part Number or new unique) and Version (new unique for this Modification).  The various Modifications of Product Structure for the same Inventory Part can differs by any essential attributes of final Product (e.g. by color, by size, by accessories etc.).  The various Versions for the same Modification of Product Structure can differs by details of Components List of Product.  Typically, the different Versions are preparing for a specific Validity Periods to take into account the considerable changes of Product Structure due to availability of related Components or changes in the technological process.
