In real life, the daily values of Work Cell Capacity depends not only from Work Cell Calendar (that defines how many hours per day the Work Cell can work), but also from number of Available Resources assigned to this particular Work Cell, theirs Work Capability and Efficiency. The possibility to choose a method for calculation of Work Cell Capacity is provided by "Calculate Capacity from available Resources" check box. If noted check box is activated, then the daily values of Capacity will be calculated using Resources Capability and personal Efficiency of available active Resources with Type = "Worker". Otherwise, the Capacity will be calculated using linked Work Cell Calendar.
In order to specify Who, When and How many hours should work at particular Work Cell, the possibility to enter, adjust and remove daily values of Planned Resource Capability (hh:mm) for the selected Date Range is provided at the separated "Resources" tab. Any changes of Resources Capability should be saved. After saving, the Work Cell Capacity will be automatically recalculated using personal Efficiency of available Resources if "Calculate Capacity from available Resources" check box is activated. By default, the personal Resource Efficiency for specific Work Cell will be used. If the personal Resource Efficiency for specific Work Cell is undefined, then the original Resource Efficiency from Resources List will be used. The daily values of Capacity for specific Work Cell Group will calculated using entered values of Resources Capability taking into account the AVERAGE values of personal Efficiencies for all Work Cells included into selected Work Cell Group. The daily values of Capacity for ALL Work Cell Groups and ALL Work Cells will calculated using entered values of Resources Capability and the AVERAGE values of personal Efficiencies for all Work Cells.
Some words about Resource Efficiency... The Efficiency equal to 100% means that specific Resource is able to work in accordance with Norm and Norm Unit specified for any Operation at the specific Work Cell. The Efficiency higher than 100% means that EXPERIENCED Resource can work MORE efficiently (more quickly) than specified by Norms. The Efficiency less than 100% (e.g. for beginners or trainee) means that Resource cannot work as efficiently as specified by Norms and need more working time to complete the same job.
